OPERATING PRECAUTIONS
To prevent personal injury, property damage or malfunction:
• Before removing the disc, be sure it has stopped spinning.
• The Sega Dreamcast GD-ROM disc is intended for use exclusively on the Sega Dreamcast video game system. Do not use this.)
in anything other than a Sega Dreamcast console, especially not in a CD player.
• Do not allow fingerprints or dirt on either side of the disc.
• Avoid bending the disc. Do not touch, smudge or scratch its surface.
• Do not modify or enlarge the center hole of the disc or use a disc that is cracked, modified or repaired with acfoesive tape.
• Do not write on or apply anything to either side of the disc.
• Store the disc in its original case and do not expose it to high temperature and humidity.
• Do not leave the disc in direct sunlight or near a radiator or other source of heat.
• Use lens cleaner and a soft dry doth to dean the disc, wiping gentfy from the center to the edge. Never use chemicals such as benztt u-
and paint thinner to dean the disc.

Still pictures or images may cause permanent picture tube damage or mark the phosphor of the CRT. Avoid repeated or extended use of
video games on large-screen projection televisions.

When cn item is dispbyed h the man window you con rotate the item
with the Andog Thumb Pad or D-buttons end zoom in/xjt with the L/R Triggers.
To check the specific part of cn item move the part to face you end press
the Action button. You may fhd some clues to solve puzzles by dong that.
COMBINE ITEMS
Open the Status Screen, highlight the item you went to combine end press the
Action button When the Item Commends are dispbyed, select COMDINE, highlight
the other item to be conrbned with the first item end press the Action button
to combne the items.
Certon items need to be combned to have cn effect. For example, combne
a Handgun end a modification component to create a custom Handgun.
ITEM BOX
Your character can only carry a linked number of
items at a time. You cannot lose an item once you fhd
it but you can use it up (like ammo, for example),
h order to carry only the items you need at a specific
time, you con store other itenns h an Item Pox. Item
Boxes are located h various places h the game.
MAP/FILE
As you explore, you will discover maps and files (notes, messages or other hfarmation
that will be automatically filed h your character's notebook). To view a mqo or file you
have acquired, open the Status Screen and select the MAP or RLE command.
MAP
The area you have explored is automatically marked.
Your location is shown by o V' on the mq?. Door
colors indicate the foliowng:
* Yellow - The door is not locked.
* Red - The door is locked and you don't have a key
for it.
* Green - The door is locked but you have a key
ffPMIPIIIilQ for it.
These thhgs are also displayed on maps
ITEM - If you have found cn item and ha vent taken it, the location
of the item is marked.

To save your game, find an nit ribbon end use it
with a typewriter. Press the Action button in front
of a typewriter end you will be asked if you went
to save your gtme. Choose YES to save your
game. When you save, on ink nbbon is used up.
* To save your game, an optional VMU is required
* While saving, do not turn off your Sega
Drecmcast remove the disc or discerned
the controller.
* This game uses a nnaximum of 11 free blocks
to create o save fie.

To play a previously saved gome, hsert a Visud Memory UNt
(VMU) nto your controller and insert either Disc 1 or Disc 2
